How it works
From scribbled gym notes to real, trackable progress in three steps.

The 43-second film
Notes in. Workouts out.
Notes, but Useful.
Log your workout the way you already do: messy shorthand, your own format, whatever works between sets. Gym Note Plus translates your gym notes into a structured workout log with exercises, weights, sets, and reps. Nothing changes about how you train.
Proof of Progression.
Your notes become workout statistics that prove you're getting stronger. Track your estimated one rep max, see training volume climb over weeks and months, and get notified the moment you hit a personal record. Real progress, straight from the notes you were already writing.
Your Dashboard, Your Rules.
Build a fully customisable workout dashboard that shows exactly what you care about. Add weekly goals, a muscle group heatmap, your workout to beat, and more. Rearrange it any time, so the first thing you see is the thing that keeps you training.

Great app for folks who desire simplicity and flexibility
My biggest problem with other training apps is the rigidity and clunkiness. Gym Note Plus eliminates all of that, and it works extremely well. The developer is also very responsive. If you already have a training plan and want a tracking app that gets out of the way and just helps you view your progress, this is a great option.

Love how simple it is
Love how the UI is and how simple it was made. You guys executed it well, but I would appreciate it if you could add it to Apple Watch, as some people don't carry their phones during gym sessions.

Smarter, faster logging
I really appreciate the natural language approach of Gym Note Plus. It's an interesting and fresh take on the standard gym log. What really sets it apart is the support. The dev is very active and pushes updates constantly. It's rare to find an app where user feedback is implemented this quickly.

Simple Workout Tracker
Very intuitive app to use; Can simply copy and paste my workouts and see useful metrics (load and volume) to help visualize my progress. Customer service has also been quick to help and very friendly.

Write your workout the way you already do, like "bench 225 8,8,6" or "squat 3x5@135", and the app parses it into structured exercises, sets, reps and weights. No forms, no dropdowns, nothing slowing down your rest period. The parser isn't restricted to English either: write your notes in any language.
Yes. Take a photo of a page from your training notebook and Gym Note Plus reads it and turns it into a structured log. Years of paper history become searchable without retyping any of it.
Gym Note Plus tracks estimated 1RM progression charts, training volume per muscle group, and automatic personal record detection. Hit a new best and the app tells you. Before each session it shows what you lifted last time for today's muscle group, so you always know what to beat. Warm-up sets, drop sets, AMRAP, supersets and giant sets are all understood, and any split works: PPL, upper/lower, full body, bro split, or something you made up.
Gym Note Plus is free to download, and free users can translate workout notes up to 500 characters long. Gym Note Plus Pro raises that to 10,000 characters and unlocks workout templates and CSV/TXT export. Pro costs $4.99 per month or $39.99 per year in the US, and there's a one-off $99.99 lifetime purchase with no recurring charge.
Yes. Gym Note Plus Pro unlocks full export of your workout history to CSV or TXT whenever you want. Your training data belongs to you, and nothing is locked in.
You can use Gym Note Plus anywhere. Open it in the gym basement, write your workout, and check your history with no connection at all. Translating a note into a structured log is the one step that needs internet, so if you train somewhere with no signal, jot the workout as normal and hit translate once you leave the gym.
No. Gym Note Plus is iPhone-only, available on the iOS App Store, and needs iOS 16.0 or later.
No. Gym Note Plus is a minimal workout logger designed to get out of your way. It records what you did and shows how it's trending rather than prescribing your next session. Cardio sessions log fine alongside your lifting, but it doesn't do nutrition or calorie tracking.
